Instructions for Mega-Light™ Ultimate Cockpit

Mega-Light™ Ultimate Cockpit light features an energy efficient circuit designed to provide

extremely low current lighting. Two replaceable bulbs included for low current draw or extra bright-

ness. The low current bulb draws just 0.11 amps at 12 volts. The extra bright bulb draws .32 amps.

Mega-Light Ultimate Cockpit includes two waterproof switches— an on/off switch and a mode

switch. Mode switch activates six functions:

• Steady white, red, or yellow

• Flashing red, flashing yellow, or alternating red/yellow

The Fresnel lens amplifies in two directions: the center of the lens focuses light (pinpoints the light)

to project it up to two nautical miles (3.7 km); the bottom of the lens is a magnifier for area flood or

task lighting at the cart table, below, or in the cockpit.

To suspend the light from a mast, boom or awning, simply tie a halyard or line to the triangular

hanging bracket.

Both LEDs are guaranteed for 100,000 hours of service and should never need replacing. Should

you ever need a replacement incandescent bulb, contact your dealer or Davis Instruments for

replacement bulbs (Davis #3330). To replace the bulb, gently twist and pull the lens housing until it

comes apart from the base. The bulb features a bayonet base and is removed by gently pushing

down and twisting counter-clockwise.

A little silicon lubricant on the O-rings occasionally will keep

them watertight for years to come.

The cord is heavy-duty and the strain relief is UL approved and

pull tested to 30 pounds (13.5 kilos).
